  • By sponsoring symposia and conferences on issues of broad public concern and by bringing to the university some of the most outstanding journalists from the United States and abroad, the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism has helped Yale students and faculty gain special insight into the media and its role in contemporary culture.

Since 1967, the Poynter Fellowship has also sponsored conferences and symposiums on a wide range of topics. Poynter conferences usually bring several distinguished journalists to Yale at one time; to participate in joint sessions with the other invitees and also to meet with small groups of students and faculty.

Rootd was founded by Ania Wysocka after suffering from panic attacks and anxiety for several years. At the time the only help available to Wysocka was either too expensive, ineffective, or poorly designed. Rootd's mission is to help others find accessible relief from their panic and anxiety, and to end the stigma against those affected.

Rootd provides preventative measures against chronic anxiety, immediate relief from panic attacks, and long term management. It is a therapist approved, scientifically validated Canadian app that has been featured frequently by Google Play and by Apple as 'App of the Day', 'Favourites from Canada', 'True North Innovation' and 'Developer Spotlight' in the US.
